April 28, 2004no it will not your vortec is fuel injected. you dont have a intake manifold.
April 29, 2004It's throttle body injection, to me the tbi looks like the same size as a carb mount. I know it will fit on the block itself bout all im worried about the throttle body fitting on it.
April 29, 2004It will not fit in any shape, form, or fashion...... If your truck is a 98, then you have the Vortec 350. The Vortec haeds have a completely different bolt pattern. There are only 8 bolts that hold the intake manifold on the new heads. The Vortec motors are NOT TBI motors. The have a throttle body, but unlike a TBI motor, no fuel flows through the throttle body. Anyway, the throttle body wouldn't even begin to fit onto the carburetor intake manifold....
April 29, 2004thought i had a new intake for it, thanks any ways guys
April 30, 2004BU,
Not entirely true, if you speak of an 87-95 TBI motor. There are a couple of companies that make adapter plates to mount GM tb's to a square bore or spread bore carb manifold. From what the Camaro/Firebird boys say, they get pretty good results with the combo.
