March 9, 2004I have a full size 94 pickup with a V6. I know when chevy made this engine they had to have realized that this wan't much underneith the hood. I don't want to change over to a 305 or a 350 because it sounds like it is going to be alot of trouble.
My first question is what can I do to give me alittle more response in my pedal. I have the stock exhaust on it except for the fact that I took off the catalytic converter. I also have a K&N air filter. This has helped alittle but not as much as I'd like.
My second question is that my truck is using about a quater to a quart and a half of ooil between 3000 mile oil changes. Is this a bad thing? The truck has 140000 miles on it so I understand that this use of oil is to be expected but I was just wondering if there is anything that I might need to do to keep my V6 beast running. Thanks for the help.
