March 5, 2004If hypertech programming is installed on your vehicle, and the battery cable is disconnected...is the hypertech programming lost and the vehicle returns back to stock programming? Do you have to reprogram every time the battery is disconnected?
March 5, 2004My take on it is no. Reason being, I have a Wester's and disconnecting the negative battery terminal doesn't erase the tune. On a HPP3 or Predator, your stock tune is stored in the programmer, not in the PCM.
I would contact Hypertech directly to verify it.
