here is another option, and this is one that my buddy is currently planning on. get a wrecked truck, and transfer your body over. My buddy is planning on taking his body off of his 69 chevy C20, and putting it onto a 2000s 4x4 rolling chassis. if you can find a totaled truck, with a good frame, you can transfer your body over to it. could be harder, but it might be cheaper. and if you really are looking for more power, more reliability, and good MPG, you could do the swap onto a newer truck frame if you can find one with the same wheelbase. than you will also get the stronger frame, newer drive train, and you don`t have to mess with the suspension set up. You`ll only need to mess with the wiring, which some people prefer, others hate. In your situation, all the wiring should be easy to locate and replace between both vehicles. Just throwing out another option for you, here is a link to a great site to get a totaled out vehicle, you could also use the site to get a donor vehicle for your 2x4 to 4x4 swap
Horsepower is how fast you were going when you hit the wall, Torque is how far you went after you hit the wall.
