October 15, 2011Anybody out there running the 6" and 3" body lift combo on a 5.3 in the 99-02 model wanna tell me what kinda gas mileag your getting? Also tell me what is the best suspension lift out for a good price? I`m leaning to the rough country. What can I do to improve my mileage after??

October 19, 2011I do not have that lift, but there are more variables than you list... tire size, tread pattern, and gearing are huge in this equation...
If you want to maintain your mileage, look for a tune, keep the air pressure accurate, PM (preventive maintenance)the brakes and drive line, change the fuel filter, and drive the truck for fuel savings (coasting, easy starts, slowing down, etc)
One other bit of advice it to use proper sized flares to reduce drag from tires that stick out too far... If possible ditch steel rims for alloy`s to drop the weight of the wheels....
