May 18, 2011Just wondering with the economy the way it is how has it effected your vehicle. Do you drive it less, not doing any more modifications or even selling or sold it?

May 18, 2011ive only put 63k on my truck since december `01 so it hasnt really affected me much. although, i have been recently attempting to up my mpg because these gas prices at $4 a gallon hurt even if i only average 6k miles a year.
def no more mods for now unless they will increase the mpg......which sadly, most mods dont do
May 18, 2011well, with my wife laid off in last oct. until mid feb. now getting laid off in the end of june......no mods and if they where i would hope to change the exhaust. and new tires!!!!been chasing $$$$ to get by as usual.

May 18, 2011Can`t drive much less. Still have to go to work everyday. Still have to go to the store and run errands just like before. Any less driving I do because of the economy is minimal.
May 19, 2011Hasn`t affected my driving that much where I live so close to town, but it has definitely slowed down the mods.
I fight for a living, I like ice cream, and I`m the reason Mastadons are extinct.
May 19, 2011I drive almost as much as before; like Masterdeluxe said, errands still need to be run. And I still have to have my fun on weekends. What`s the point of having something if you can`t enjoy it?

May 19, 2011i`m actually glad the economy is the way it is, alot of people are getting out of their trucks, and since i wrecked my truck back in February and picked up an economy car/sporty car, i will be trading it this weekend for either a lifted 87 burban or a stock 99 with only 123k on it. either of those are worth way more than my car, but my car gets good gas mileage so i think i`m getting the better deal. i`m hoping to get the 99, but i`m not sure if the owner will go for it. the 87 already said he will do it as soon as i get back into town. so the economy has actually helped me get back into a full size, i can`t do anything in a car that involves work, so i really need a truck or full size SUV. Than again i also just put $1500 into my bike for better riding this summer since i will be on that when i`m not in my rig
Horsepower is how fast you were going when you hit the wall, Torque is how far you went after you hit the wall.
May 19, 2011Haven`t really thought about it, but I am probably spending an extra $100 a month on gas. That`s less play money for mods...etc.
