April 20, 2011well got to get new tires soon. i have bfg a/t ko and they have been great.the one s i have now are d rated and i want e rated. for the towing i do. so anyway i was looking on line on sams club. where i got the first set years ago and noticed the look like they are e rated. my question is did the bfg change that from a d to an e. if so im stoaked. i thought it might be hard to find them in an e rated. i will let you know. what tires you all running that town heavy loads. just wondering.

April 20, 2011I like the BFG`s and quite frankly one of the best looking tires out. I`m currently running Cooper Zeon LTZ`s and they are e-rated tires. So far I`ve got about 45,000 on them and looking to make 50,000 without issue. When they are due, I think I`m going with them again.
Can`t go wrong with either especially if you can get the BFG`s in e-rated tires. But make sure thats not a typo, most of the BFG`s I`ve seen are d-rated like the ones you have currently.
April 20, 2011bump that! if so i may run what you have i like the looks of them as well. do they do ok in snow?
April 21, 2011305-70r-16 ERated here. You can get them in either one...JohnB
April 21, 2011265 75 R16 E rated... I have pulled 9,000# loads with them with no issue...
I have also had about 2 ton of stone in the bed with out issue (the truck was squatting pretty good, but no ballooning from the tires and no blow outs after a 40 mile drive home)
April 21, 2011Yes, the Coopers do great in the snow. They have been a pretty good tire all around so far and why I`m considering a second set.
April 21, 2011cool. i dont know why, but at the time they didnt have that tire in e rated so i when with the d. they have done well even with heavy loads but i would rather have what i really need on there than to settle.but no complants from them. best tire i have had on any truck of mine thats for sure.
April 24, 2011so i went by sams this weekend and the bfg`s are e load now. cool. i do likr the looks of the coopers but have read conflicting reviews. although if stevens like them them mush be good. and are a bit cheaper. but all in all i have to save the funds to buy anything. so i got time to read more. but was glad the bfg`s are e load. i may just stick with them since my first pair rocked. thanks all for the imput.
April 25, 2011Definitely have another positive rating on them here, I had the M/T before and liked them but went with an A/T for ride and better tread life and have no complaints at all.
August 4, 2011update [kind of]: so the time has come to get this done......im still torn between the two....bfg AT`s vs. cooper zeon ltz......any more imput? i love my bfg AT`s but i can get the others for a bit cheaper and have a new look for a while... but i had good luck with the others.......
August 4, 2011From what I know the Cooper`s are a fairly new tire (year or two old?) and they have had nothing but good responses and high mileage. The BFG is a really olf tread design but have heard it needs improvement. I would go with the LTZ`s
