March 8, 2011I bought this plow truck about 3 years ago and this fall I ended up having to replace the engine so with a new engine I decided it needed a new grille. Here is the result. I think that it looks much better. What do you all think? I plan on repainting this truck this summer.

March 8, 2011damn.... that looks great. new truck now
March 8, 2011Looks alot better, how`s the light output on the road now?
March 9, 2011It is amazing the difference in the light output. Those single headlights were terrible and they were almost impossible to aim. I am so glad that I made the change not only for the appearance but also for the amount of light
March 9, 2011What a difference. It looks good.
March 9, 2011i just told a buddy of mine that has a truck like that about it! thats how good it looks.
March 9, 2011I been meaning to do that with my 98Hd truck. How hard was it to do that and what did u need? Of course besides the obvious, lights.
March 9, 2011Black dog 3. It really was not that hard. The cheapest place I found was aftermaket auto .com They had the entire light kit and grille assembly for 200 and free shipping. I then when to a website called mr taillight.com. They have a 34 piece conversion kit because you need new headlight harnesses and mounting hardware. The last thing I needed was a new filler strip but since yours is a 98 you should be able to use your filler strip. Then just take your entire grille and headlight assembly out and get a soldering iron and some heat shrink tubing and connect your new composite headlights. I forgot to mention that mr. headlight has a step by step guide. I think the green wire is your low beam and red is your high beam. The hardest part was adding in the side running lights. They are not part of your 98 hd. You will need a wire splice and I think that you connect the tan and dark brown and the blue and dark blue wires to the side running lights. Don`t tie into the ground. If you have on the books on the c/k series truck there is wiring diagram that tells you. If you need to know I will look it up for you however I believe that is wiring for the side turn signals. For the most part everything else bolts right in. You should have an easier time since you have the correct filler strip. I had to mess with mine a little bit to get everything lined up. Sorry for the long response but that should sum up everything that I did. Should take about a 2 hours in your situation.
