October 25, 2010I recently purchased a 2002 silverado 1500. It came with a 10 inch whiplash suspension kit in it. When i drive 0-25 the ride is great until i hit a bump and then the steering wheel shakes so bad the truck is almost uncontrolable. 35-45 the truck shakes no matter what i do, and 50 and above smooth again. The tires are 38 inch tsl. I have tried switching tires around and it hasnt helped at all. I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem or has had the same problem and can give me a idea what it might be.

October 25, 2010Check your ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings, and other steering linkage. If they all check out, then I`d certainly consider a steering stabilizer. If everything checks out, the steering stabilizer should help with your bump steer, but make sure things are check thoroughly so your not masking another issue.
Congrats on the new truck. Post up some photos when you get a chance.
