July 8, 2010i am thinking about buying a bull bar...will the 3 inch body lift mess up how it fits? like it would my brush guard..? or does it mount up different?
July 9, 2010if u have a 1500, u can buy a brush guard or bull bar for a 2500HD and it would look good. my brother put one on his 05 1500 off a 2500HD and he has a body lift and it looks perfect.
July 9, 2010really? will it fit weird? like...is it a tight fit?
July 9, 2010guys i need help...i want this bull bar. iv heard from some people that this bull bar will fit just right with the body lift...others are saying i need to fab u a 3 inch spacer. anybody done this? theres a guy on another forum w a 90 model chevy that has a 3 inch body lift and his bull bar fit just right...whos right herer???
July 9, 2010I say try going down to any place that sells them and ask if you can hold it up to the truck and try taking a quick look as to what might need to be done for it to work, or if it will bolt right in.
July 11, 2010Buy the bullbar you want. Mount up the brackets to the truck. Take your truck and bullbar to a welding shop and explain where you would like the bullbar to sit and have them modify the brackets. It shouldn`t take much.
July 11, 2010i work at a welding shop thats no big deal...i just need to know WHAT to do now...do i cut the bracket...and weld in a 3 inch piece and weld the end back on...basically an extender?
July 11, 2010You could cut the bracket and weld a piece in. But since you work at a welding shop you could just make your own brackets that would be stronger than the cheesy brackets most bullbars come with.
July 11, 2010if i just make new ones...ill get someone else to do it...idk i think itll be alrighr with the weld in piece. right?
July 12, 2010Yes, it should work with the weld-in piece. If it wobbles too much just weld in some gussets.
July 12, 2010alright sounds good. ill prob order it...friday...maybe sooner. ill post pics of it when its done thanks guys
