April 27, 2010I have an 06` Z71 and i just want to get a more aggresive looking stance on it. I`m thinking about getting a leveling kit but people tell me that doing that is bad for the joints and stuff. I really can`t afford a suspension lift or anything cuz i`m going to college next year so i was wondering if anyone could help me out.

April 27, 2010Cranked my torsion bars and aligned it 4 yrs and 90k miles ago, still no problems.
April 27, 2010if u like the stance u have now. i wouldn`t change it. putting a leveling kit will lift it a little bit more but be careful. u crank the bars with a kit on and ur right it will be really hard on ur front end and it will ride like crap. also buy the kit that comes with the shock extensions
April 27, 2010If you crank up the torsion bars will 33``s fit or not?
April 27, 2010it depends what rims u run. unless u run a 10 inch rim u can run 33`s but u might have to do some trimming. i ran 35`s on my truck with the stock torsion key cranked and a 3 inch body.
April 27, 2010sorry, u gonna need the leveling kit to run 33`s won`t work with the stock keys
April 29, 2010too tight of a fit go with a BL they are cheap and easy to install and defintly fit some 33`s
July 20, 2010im running 33 12.50s on 20x10 rims just fine with only
my stock torsion cranked
July 21, 2010My vote is to crank your stock keys. That should net you 1-1.5" lift. I wouldnt bother spending money on them keys. Would rather just pony up and get a real lift if you asked me.
btw, I am running a 2.5" crank or so on the 97 with stock keys for quite some time and have had no issues. Had it aligned right after and it was hardly out.
