April 12, 2010Greetings:
I just replaced one of my O2 sensors on my 03 Chevy burb LT. Initially, my CEL had been illuminating. I had the code read, it registered Bank 1 sensor one (upstream) as being in a malfunctioning state. So I replaced it, with a Bosch # 15284 OEM exact fit premium sensor, from Advance Auto Parts. Between yesterday and this morning, I had to reset the CEL three times. Should I just disregard doing this and allow the system to acknowledge, and allow the light to go out on its own? Is there a certain time frame for the system to immediately acknowledge? The truck as 154,000 plus original miles on it, and it is in excellent conditi.on! Also I am mindful, that other codes maybe coming up. I have 3 more to replace. They are suspose to be good for 100,000 miles. This Bosch sensor, didn`t appear to have the vents at the sensor tip, as did the original, which was a Denso version. I also replaced my spark plugs too. I removed some very old AC Delcos, and replaced them with some NGK V-copper premium Power plugs. I will read the code again should the light come back on, should it be the new replacement, what possibly else might be the issue? This sensor also came with a harness too. Thank you in advance!!!!
