March 26, 2010Ive got a Cheyenne that has had the cat punched and had duals ran before but were taken off when i bought it. What would be the best set up, and cheapest way to run new duals with a knock of a Super 44? Should i buy stainless myself and weld it in or take it and have it pro done?

March 26, 2010well if ur not good at welding i take it 2 a pro
March 26, 2010Im not bad. But would the Duals sound good from the cat back with the 44 or would it be too much of a drone like people tend to review. thats really my main question. Is it worth putting that exhaust on like that.
March 26, 2010if it were me i wouldnt have any cats and just run the dual super44s it would sound much better and u get better exhaust flow
March 26, 2010well its punched so i mean its bout the same. and the dual 44;s is a tad out of budget with stainless. Couldnt it and wouldnt it be still reasonably good rumble with the one with the duals coming off the to the back straight piped?
March 26, 2010hey can u go and look at the new post about the cam that i posted and see what u think
March 26, 2010you can weld in your exhaust yourself if you know what your doin. but with flowmasters there is gonna be drone. if you want less drone you can not run duals out the back and put turn downs or just nothin after the muffler
March 26, 2010see thats what i thought! but my dad said that that would sound to loud, i told him it was my truck. the guy i bought it off of had turn downs right before the bumpers and it sounded nice, but it wasnt with a 44 either. it was some Midas/Wally brand that had to be turn sideways to clear the driveshaft. It is HUGE and looks tardish from the side. Any other ideas?
March 26, 2010havin turndowns wouldnt make it louder. i have a super 44 dumped under the bed and its the same loudness as my friend who has the same truck with a supper 44 goin out the back with pipes. mine is a bit louder in the cab but i hear the exhaust in my friends you hear annoying drone. i think turndowns sound better
March 27, 2010thanks, sounds like thats what ill be doing.
March 27, 2010I have one super 44 and dual turnddowns on my truck and in my opinion it sounds a lot better than out the back. Nice and deep, but if you don`t want to hear it in the cab, I would suggest running them out the back. Mine drives my wife nuts which means I never have to worry about her wanting to drive it.
