March 9, 2010in the old greek tradition.....windex. windex solves everything!! haha
March 9, 2010I like John`s idea with the extension cord. You might want to bench test it though to make sure it works properly.
March 9, 2010True story. Probably get in trouble today, but I used to have a bluestone driveway that I parked my then new 1987 Suzuki on. I put a lift kit and aluminum Centerlines on it.
The old woman next door had at least 8-10 cats. They`d come over and pee on the wheels.
I had an infrared beam around the yard to alert when anyone came onto the property, so I was protected against any kids or people tampering with stuff. But the cats had free reign.
I had a 120v receptacle on the front of the house, right near where I parked the Zuki. I got a cord with a plug at one end and put a welding ground clamp on the other end on the hot leg.
In the evening before going in for the night, I`d sprinkle the bluestone around the Zuki with a hose, then I`d clip the hot wired ground clamp to the trailer hitch. I`d plug the other end into the 120V receptacle.
I never had anymore smell or yellow stuff on my wheels again. And I never forgot to unplug the hot wire before I touched the door handle.
March 9, 2010If my neighbors dog starts markin my tires imma definately gonna try this idea out. LMAO
March 9, 2010Wow thats awesome^^ and I like the extention cord idea! But maybe you could get a fence haha??? ( If its a neighbors pet ) if its your own, train it so you don`t inflict pain on your own pet lol
March 10, 2010Don`t they make those high pitched sounds that animals can`t stand. Maybe you could plug in near the truck lol. No one could hear it and complain unlike BBQing your neighbors cat. That might lead to worse consequences ie key scratches ect. Your lucky the don`t walk on the car and get paw prints everywhere and tiny scratches.
March 10, 2010I ment dog lol. We had leverne sidesteps on our truck and a dog chewed the plastic caps off. Similar situation to yours. Also call animal control lol say there`s a loose dog.
March 10, 2010its my bosses dog. he does it on all the trucks. just want to know if there is some kid of spray i can make up
March 10, 2010a dog peeing on my tire is not that bad comparied to having my dog chase a skunk under the truck and it spraying everwhere under it that doesnt come off with anything but time but to clean your tires just a bucket of warm soapy water and a old broom head scrubbin should do
about the extension cord trick it souds great we do that if we want worms so we can go fishing take a old extension cord cut the wires and wrap them around seperate 1 1/2` chunks of rebar take a garden hose and wet down a nice chunk of yer yard then stick each of the rebar into the ground about 20 feet apart THEN MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON YOUR DECK OR ON CONCRETE AND NOT IN WATER plug in the extension cord wait a minute MAKE SURE TO UNPLUG THE CORD AND WAIT ABOUT 30 SECONDS BEFORE WALKING ONTO THE YARD then get your self a bucket and go pick up yer bait lol its dangerous but it works great
