February 10, 2010Where would one find such wire? And could I put some cloth or quite material and then wrap the wire around that as well? Sure wouldnt look nice but this noise is driving me crazy!
Plus I`ve already tried tightening the u-bolts, but I can give them another go round...
February 10, 2010I guess in my case I didn`t have it tight enough to begin with. I did exactly what the directions said on the kit, except, apparently, tightent it enough. I tried the u-bolts, and they wouldn`t hold it in place. Anyway, it was just a suggestion from experience.
February 10, 2010Hey man any help is appreciated, i was lost for ideas after tightening u-bolts so I`m still all ears
February 10, 2010I just used regular old bale wire from a hay bale. Tractor supply will sell all you want. It will make a tink sound instead of a clank. might have to replace it a couple times when the wire wears out though

November 16, 2010Hi everyone
I have a 2009 gm 2500 and the springs are so noisy it sounds like a 25 year old truck. I went to the dealer and they told me that alot of people are complaining about it. They claim it is caused or at least much worse if you rust proof your truck. It is only on the new model 07 and up they say. Their position is that it is the rust proofing and not the truck. However when I asked them why it is only on their truck and doesn`t happen with other brands, they just did not have an answer. I also called GM and they brushed it off as a problem with rust proofing. However from what I was told by the dealer it is with all brands of undercoating even the one gm sells at the dealer.hmmm So I guess using their theory if you have a leaky gas tank, it is the fault of the gas.
November 16, 2010sounds like crap to me, a lot of guys on here have had these problems regardless of what year and with or without rust proofing.
stealerships, gotta love em
January 9, 2011I was having a similar leaf spring noise on my truck. Someone suggested that I spray some WD-40 or something like that anywhere I could on the leaf springs that could be making the noise. After a few days the noise went away and I haven`t heard it since which has been several weeks.
