November 10, 2008MY charger shuts off automatically, dont they all do that?
*or* jump it, drive it for a while and it should be charged....No?
November 10, 2008It depends on how much time you have. If you have an automatic charger and 12 hours *or* more. Charge it on the lowest setting. that will let the battery charge slower without building up as much heat. 10 amps *or* less for overnight will work. And even if you run the truck for a short time it will still not charge the battery completely.
November 10, 2008I believe it works best to trickle charge them, I haven''t charged either of mine in quite some time
August 18, 2010I was told that they have jell not acid co they will blow up if you charge them.
not sure so be careful!!!
September 3, 2010They will not blow up, just charge it like any other deep cycle battery. I had one and it sucks for a truck battery, the red top is the ticket.
September 3, 2010Nice gravedigging. OP is from November 2008.
