January 29, 2008It usually comes on and stays solidly lit. Is the flashing a bad thing?

January 29, 2008I've known it to mean the airbag has been arm'd
have you been in a fender bender or anything ?
Edit: wrong lite I was thinking of :doh
January 29, 2008flashing SHOULD be reserved for misfires. (double check the owners manual, but thats how most chevys are)
How many miles? Might be time for plugs/wires/fuel filter/air filter
January 29, 2008Maybe it just needs to be reset, did it come on after your last oil change?
January 29, 2008Flashing=misfire. Check spark plugs and wires
January 29, 2008I'd been planning on changing my plugs out anyway, so I went ahead and did it today. They're all worn out, starting to have rust form around the threads, and one of them was actually loose. Changed them out, and the engine is running a lot smoother now. Should the wires be swapped at the same time as the wires? IO didnt feel like spending an extra $50 at Autozone today.
January 30, 2008you should always change your wires at the same time as the plugs because over time the environment breaks down the rubber that covers the wire and eventually they will arc out and you wont be getting all your spark power to the plug.
