May 29, 2007I was looking at the conversion kit for my 88. It has the Single Beam Sealed Headlights and the kit has the dual headlights. It comes with the Grill, Headlights, Marker Lights, and Side Markers. It says it doesn't come with the filler cap but is there anything else I need to mount this on my truck like brackets or anything? Thanks.

May 29, 2007if the kit comes with the grille shell and all the lights then that bumper filler peice should be the only other thing you need.
if i remember right C/K Resto (www.ckresto.com) has the full kit with the filler and everything
May 30, 2007I'm planning on doing the same swap on my truck and from what I can gather, you also will need to change the mounting brackets and outer braces for the bumper so that the filler piece will fit.

you just have to paint to match the filler pieces
August 2, 2007Not to hijack, but does the GMC grille 94-98 conversion work with a truck that has the 90-93 Chevy grille?? I just thought the GMC grille looks alittle cleaner. Also don't forget those bumper filler extensions.
August 2, 2007a gmc grille converts the same, but the gmc has different side marker lenses than the chevy one, so you must get the right ones for that grille
heres a 94-98(94-2000 on the 3500hd)gmc grille on my 88 chevy, i still have to do something about the gmc emblem
i did not use a filler panel since it wouldn't work with my custom sas setup
August 2, 2007Yeah, the 94-98 GMC will work on the 90-93 chevy or GMC just get the bumper filler for the 94-98 to go with it, I did that mod to my 92 chevy..
August 2, 2007You can get the full conversion kits from CK Resto or LMC. I'm pretty sure the best place to get the kit from is CK Resto though.
August 3, 2007you can also get the kit on ebay and its about half the price of what CK Resto or LMC wants but then you have to find the filler peice.
you might also be able to get lucky and find a good one in a junk yard pretty cheap
