July 3, 2006Does it say anything on the sidewall? 30 seems a little low to me too, but it's probably fine. My gut says something like 34psi would be just about right.
July 3, 2006i would say between 33 and 35
July 3, 2006You should go by the side wall or contact teh tire maker. I'd go with 35 or 40 depending on how mouch pressure increases when your tires get hot.
July 3, 2006I have the same tire and have experimented with different tire pressures. I have found that 32-34 does good for me.
July 3, 2006I have 285/50/20's, when I bought the tires, they said to run about 35-36psi in them. I did this for a few months. When I got my cam put in a couple of weeks ago, I noticed both tires were deflated up front in the garage when I came to visit. I thought there was something wrong with them, and the mechanic just said that it makes it easier to work over the fenders. To make a long story short, when I picked it up a couple days later, I asked how much pressure did you put in? He said 40, but its rated at 44 on the sidewall..........I was kinda shocked.
But tell you what, that was a nice surprise with the extra pressure, it rode so much better than before..........now I'm stayin with 40, and recommend you try it also...
July 4, 2006I run 32-34 in my 275/55-20 Goodyears
