January 20, 2006anyone know where to get one for a 96 tahoe? i want a good one, not one that will fall apart if i was to hit a speed bump too hard or something. please any advice would help. thanks all
January 20, 2006Start looking at EMS and Police sites like www.galls.com
January 20, 2006I was going to suggest the same thing. The ones we use are somewhat invasive, meaning that removing the mount will leave you with holes to fill. They also cut into interior space quite a bit, even when the laptop isn't mounted.
A google search for 'laptop mount' will yield a half-dozen solid leads.
January 20, 2006Yea www.galls.com will work good they had some when i was looking for one.
January 20, 2006what r u going to use it for? the only time i've seen one of these not in a cop car was in the movie "twister"
January 20, 2006^^^^ I use mine sometimes to monitor the engine while going down the road to see how everything is going. Can also use it for 1/4 mile testing.
January 21, 2006Thanks for all the replies. I am a police officer and want one for my laptop to use in my POV. which happens to be a tahoe. I have found some on ebay but am still looking. I cant possibly be the only one who has wanted a laptop mount in the vehicle, can I? any other help would be appreciated. the ones in the patrol cars are like 300 bucks and i cant afford them. thanks all
January 21, 2006Found this site off the CTW frontpage. Didn't look at the prices, but looks like a good selection.
