November 22, 2005Hi everyone,
About 2 weeks ago, my old computer's motherboard went bad so I had to buy something new. I bought a Dell Dimension 3000. It's definitely not a top of the line computer, but I plan on upgrading in about a year and a half once Vista is available and the cost of dual core processors come down some.
Anyway, the problems. When I open Outlook Express, it takes a good few seconds for the program to fully open. The second problem is also with OE. When the messages download and I highlight one to delete, nothing happens. I have to click, hit delete, then close down OE. When I go back in, the message is gone, but I have to continue to do this to delete all messages. To "fix" the problem, I have to reboot and then it is ok for a while, but it keeps doing this. Minor problems, but for a new computer, this shouldn't happen.
I am running Windows XP home edition. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it. I'd call Dell, but I've gone this route before for something else and I got some lady from India that I could not understand.
