September 29, 2005hey Alan, yea i fought with them but did not good, i called this moring, the warrents are gone the dropped them, now just have to figure out how to get them off my record thats gonna be fun, and i have a valid licens again, considering i have to drive in OHio this weekend to go race again, i hate that state, love the people there but hate the cops there *****, but there just doing there job though, jus the pople at the court house that lost my check that pissed me off, especaill from severl months ago and they didnt call me or nothen just did it to me, hell i put about 5k miles a month on my truck for racing
September 29, 2005We have a lawyer down here with a slogan that says one call that's all. IMO you did what you were supposed to. You paid your fine and they dropped the ball. If you have a lawyer...I would go have a chat with him.
For future reference, send your checks for something like that as a certified mail. That way they have to sign to receive it and it covers you in court.
September 29, 2005I would eighther see a lawyer or try talking to a local judge to try and make sure you don't have any warrants and that your liscense is good so you don't get pulled a year from now and get hauled in for no reason. A friend had it happen to him on a saturday night while out with his girlfriend and spent the weekend in jail.
September 29, 2005That really sucks. Hope it turns out ok for you.
September 29, 2005nheuer, Pa does care what you do in other States, we are a reciprocity State. what you do in other States can and will hurt you here. If you get a citation in another State and don't pay your fine, they will contact PennDOT and your license will be suspended.
September 30, 2005Wanna bet got a ticket in New York along time ago and nothing ever came of it at all.
September 30, 2005how long ago??? i've had several outstanding speeding tickets, they just take a while sometimes to show up, i should've gone to jail last time i got pulled over, but the cop didn't say anything about my 2 outstanding violations.
September 30, 2005Its been about 8 years. They don't even have a record of it in new york anymore.
October 1, 2005finaly got it clearned up, paid the 175.00 and its done, they took the warrents off, and i got my license back thank god, just wish it had never happened, i have had alot of tickets in other states but nothen was as bad as ohio troppers, especially if ya from KY, they dont like us for some reason, lol
October 1, 2005Glad it worked out for ya..........
October 1, 2005Glad everything worked out for ya,but ehre is a little hint.In very few instances, except for small Mayberry types (I mean very small, one or two cop towns),the cops have nothing to do with collecting the money. They write the tickets then the court clerks are responsible for handling the money. Most places the cops never see the money.
As far as Penn not caring, they do,you probally got the tickets from a small agency that is not a court of record (Does not turn in there tickets to the state for Suspension) or the tickets were lost or not turned in by the officer.I have been guilty of the later a few times in my career.
