September 27, 2005The season has been open for over 3 weeks here. I have been every weekend but no luck. The weather has been way too hot lately, but there are alot of signs around most of the stands. It is supposed to cool down this weekend, so maybe someone will get something. What kind of bow do yall shoot? I shoot a Buckmasters G2 with a Muzzy Zero Effect rest and Trophy Ridge sights.
September 27, 2005I was never in to archery. I may do some during the rifle season but no one in my family eats venison besides me, unless I spend the money to get it processed in to pepperoni or jerky then everyone wants it.
I'm hoping to get a few days of duck hunting in this year.

September 28, 2005Not a bow hunter, yet.
However I already have my permits for shotgun seasons. Next week I plan on doing some trial clearing, and checking on my stands. Shotgun season is in November around here.
September 28, 2005I got a old Browning Compund Bow, with muzzy 100 grn. 3 blades. THe thing has 70+ lb. draw weight and is really accruate. Only problem is I haven't hunted with it. I have no where to go anymore. My first place with my uncle is no longer up for lease because they cleared cutted it. There were really big bucks there. MY other place my Grandfather sold the land. There was one buck there that could easly go over 200+, he is a huge non-typical. Spoted during archery season, before I got a bow. Never saw him light during gun, but found his tracks and scrapes. This guy is a old monster, could be a record book. Some other people have seen hime but never got the chance to tag him. I miss hunting, haven't been for the past 2 years. Good luck to everyone else.
