The Classic Chevy Club of Tucson will be hosting their 26th annual Chevy Showdown from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Registration will start at 8:00 AM and run to 10:00 AM; awards will be at 3:00 PM. This is an all-Chevy show open to all 1986 and older Chevy cars and trucks. The show will take place in the north side parking lot of Reid Park, near Hi Corbett Field. THIS IS A NEW LOCATION FOR 2011. Directions to find Reid Park from Interstate I-10: take the 22nd street exit and proceed east 5 miles on 22nd past Country Club to Randolph Way. Turn left into the park on Randolph Way and follow the signs. Preregistration entry fee for a vehicle is $30.00, prior to April 9, 2011; $35.00, thereafter. Additional vehicles are $5.00. Entry fee for pre-registered vehicles includes one (1) show T-shirt and a goodie bag with dash plaque. Food and other vendors will be available, on site. Dozens of raffle prizes and a 50/50 cash prize will also be provided. Vehicles will be judged by the host club (hoods must be open for judging). 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given out in 28 classes, plus Daily Driver and People’s Choice.
