dynomax ultra flows have a nice sound if you don`t currently have a h or x pipe and want one go with the ultra flow x it`s not the loudest but it has a deep sound. it`s mellow when cruising and louder when you`re on it. I just put the ultra flow x on mine. the dynomax super turbo is also good and relatively cheap. and there`s a $25 rebate on dynomax mufflers going on right now. I`m not sure if it`s per muffler on the rebateForums : Exhaust : What exhaust? (2522 Views)

my two best friends each have a truck like yours one truck is run together then split to dual tips its loud but if you let out you can barely tell in the cab on the other hand the second truck is ran split from the cats back and it is crazy loud you hear it at all times and cracks and pops every time you let out i have an obs 5.7 with a dynapro x flo (i dont remember the model) behind long tubes and no cats and in the cab you cant hear it run but you stand outside and it gives that nice deep tone you wanna hear from a 350 small block and it runs alot better than when it had now mufflers when it comes to the cherry bomb vortex a co-worker of mine just bought one for his 03 with a 4.8 but it hasnt been installed yet so i cant comment but the price was good (~$96)February 22, 2011
I just purchased a Dynomax Ultra Flo SS for $90.00 off of O`Reilly.com. 3 in dual 2.5 out. Had a local shop weld everything up, muffler to duals out the corners with 18 inc slash rolled SS tips. Sounds awesome, nice and low. Louder than stock but not setting off car alarms loud. I do alot of towing with the family so I didn`t want a real loud exhaust. The best part is the performance. Much better than Flowmaster and Magnaflow (I`ve had both). Quick throttle response and a little bit better mileage. All together I probably spent about 300.March 3, 2011
how would magnaflow dual exhaust compair to flowmasters, loudness and performance wise?April 2, 2011
My 2001 Silverado 2500 non-hd 6.0 has Gibson Shorties, with no cats, stock muffler. Too Quiet! I was wundering what would be best, should I go Straight pipes, or something like Magnaflow or Dynomax?Suckin` Gas and Haulin` Ass.

I have had six exhaust systems on my truck. Several of them can be seen in my gallery. A custom glasspack turndown before the axle, a custom no muffler straight pipe, two holley phantom kits, and a couple kits put on by a shop. The "best" sounding kit was the one with the flowmaster super 40 muffler in it. I had 3" in and dual 2.5" out. It was actually louder the straight pipe kit I made. Just my two cents. Out!
