April 10, 2009okay so i''m getting ready to install my tuff country 6'''' lift and, i''m just wondering if any of you know the best way to take the torsion bars out. Can i just unscrew the bolts until the load is off and then just knock them out of place? I have the clamp holding the t-bars in place by the way

April 11, 2009Take the bolts out, mark the torsion bars on the keys and lower control arms, so you get them back where they belong. After you get the lower arms loose from the frame, the t-bars will come out...It''s not as scary as everyone thinks.
April 11, 2009You need a torsion unloading tool. Even with the bolt removed there will still be torsion on the key.
