I am looking to get a very loud exhaust set up while keeping bottom end speed. I have a 350 true duals no cats with headers and k&n filter. What is the best muffler for me or should I go no cats and no mufflers.

April 4, 2008well if you want LOUD, go with headers, no cats, and no mufflers out at 45's or 90's with 3.5 or 4" tips.
April 5, 2008A very loud muffler would be a flowmaster 40 series.
April 5, 2008You will be fine either way. The flowmaster 10 series is the loudest that flowmaster has.
April 5, 2008Not real sure. Id check ebay then take them to your exhaust shop and have them put in. Also here are some sound clips of them. Keep in mind that they will be louder on your truck as you will have two mufflers instead of one along with no cats and headers, so they will be louder on your truck than what they are in these videos.
April 5, 2008if you want loud y dont u put a cut out in there, so it could be loud when u want it and if u want it to be quieter then just close it
August 12, 2008I have straight pipes no cats and no mufflers. but i do have an x-pipe. if you want loud thats what it is but it is very very poppy and sometimes annoying. and i hear if you take out the x and have true duals they are louder
August 13, 2008like said above, you should really just get exhaust cutouts. You could have them mounted right out of the headers so you can have an insanely loud truck when you want it, then you can close the cutouts if you want to quiet it down.
August 22, 2008get flowmaster outlaws!
August 22, 2008You could always get bigger tips too for deeper sound I have 5x24 inch tips on my pickup @ 45''s straights no muffler with a y-pipe but I still have the cats but I love the sound.
