October 13, 2005As most of you may know, I am looking in the very near future to purchase me a Chevy 2500HD Reg cab 8ft bed. I am wanting to get a lift for this truck or 6 to 9 inches. All suspension no body lift. A lot of people here in Marshall County WV either have a Superlift, Fabtech, Rough County, or RCD. I want something with a performance shock such as Bilsteins 5100 Series or around that. It also has to be durable and proven to perform. It will not see a mud hole, but may be taken off road for trail rides and such. I want something that is going to look good under the truck too. Let me know all your thoughts please in the next week or two! Any questions, just ask away or get at me on AIM at chevythunder3 Later on all!

October 14, 2005I have an RCD and i love it. It looks great under the truck cuz it has that black i think its polyurithane finish. My kit also came with some stainless steel parts so my compression struts and other parts are stainless and look really good under the truck. If you let me know i could get some pictures later if you want to see.
October 28, 2005Superlift makes a combo that comes with Bilstein Shocks. This has been one that I have been considering to do sometime in the future.
Go to their website and check it out.
They have a 2-2.5" and a 4-6" for the 88-98 models.
They have a 6" to 7.5" Lift System for the new one you are getting.
October 28, 2005I also like Skyjackers systems.
November 2, 2005Pro Comp makes an AWESOME HD lift kit. 6inch lift, shocks included, they also have a bunch of other parts for upgrade just for the HDs. Take a look at their site.
November 2, 2005I would go with RCD or Skyjacker because Skyjacker you can always go back to stock...most others you can't
November 2, 2005Get a full drop kit so that you can crank the tbars up 2 more inches for bigger tires. With a spindle kit, your tires stick out further in the front, if you crank your tbars any, you get bad cv angles. Get the pro-comp man.
November 7, 2005So, did you lift it?
I have the Pro-Comp full drop 6" kit as well...
I went Pro-Comp because all of the spindle kits kick the front tires out too far for my taste. I don't have the T-bars cranked any extra, but I am clearing 35"X13.5" Pro-Comp XTerrains with only minor rubbing issues at full flex.
